The Call of the WhipBird When out in the bush you would have a chance to hear the call of the WhipBird, so called because it sounds like a whip crack. The whipBird is very common in Eastern Australia and it is the male that makes the whip crack sound and the female that responds with a couple of notes afterwards. Kicked by a horse Part 4

'The question was 'Are you wearing underpants?' Are you kidding me I have been kicked by a horse and the nurse asks me if I'm wearing underpants? To be fair she needed to take down my jeans to asess my injury and gentlemen your mothers advice to always wear clean underwear comes in handy hear.  After having a look the nurse was satisfied that I was in no real danger of dying she did up my jeans and a few hours later we arrived at Coolowee and I was bundled onto a bed in the clinic and the nurse produced a very large needle hmmmm.  The nurse did not want me to watch as she stuck it in ,needles don't bother me but she insisted so I turned around and started reading a poster about malaria and how to avoid the mosquitoes that carry it.                                    THE BULL ANT The Bull Ant is one you do not want to have joining your picnic  for they are on mean nasty creature very, very aggressive they are no matter how big you are they will stand up to you and some species can jump onto you if you get close enough the one pictured below known as the jumping jack or Bulldog ant. There are about 94 different species of the Bull Ant throughought Australia and some of them have the most toxic venom in the insect world . People have died after being stung due to severe allergic reactions from the venom some like myself are fortunate or unfortunate  depending  on what perspective you look at it that on being stung we experienced extreme pain.
