Cattle Country







Australia has some of the largest cattle properties in the world and a thriving live cattle export trade to the middle east and Indonesia.

Cattle play a significant role in the rural economy with the commencement  of the mustering season helicopters are employed as well as extra station hands to help the muster.

Road trains are used to take the cattle to the markets and to the ports ,Cooks are employed on the stations to feed the station hands who work on the various properties.

The cattle farms can range in size and all over Australia the biggest properties are mainly in the Top End where to reach the main homestead from the front gate can take a few hours to a day
